Taj mahal a world famous sight in the world. People had rated Taj mahal as the one of the seven wonders in the world. Nowadays it is the most visited monument in india almost 20000 to 250000 person visits taj mahal everyday. Taj mahal mainly known as a epitome of love cast in white marble when you visit you will amaze to see how this beautiful monument is carved out in white marble.

Being world famous site everyone wants to visit Taj mahal but the question comes to mind 

How to reach Taj Mahal ?

There are number of options are available to reach to Taj Mahal. Depending on where is your Flight is landing. India is Huge country which is divided in 29 states and  7 union territory, in which only few of them have International Airport, Majorly in Metropolitan cities.

By Air :-

New Delhi Airport :- Agra is situated in Indias Largest state Called uttar pradesh, and the Nearest International Airport  of Taj Mahal is situated in New Delhi which is the capital city of India. The distance between New delhi and Agra is around 200 Km. If you are planning to visit Taj mahal and if your coming from any other country then Select New Delhi IGI Airport. This is the only Taj Mahal Nearest Airport

By Road From Delhi :- Once you land to New delhi you have to take a cab which will drive you to Agra via Yamuna Express Way. The distance is around 200 Km which will take 3 hours to reach Agra.

By Train :- Delhi is the major city where Agra is well connected. There are number of trains available for Agra which Departs from New Delhi Railway Station and Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station. Depending on train the Time duration is different. 

The Best and  famous train for reaching Agra is Gatiman Express  ( the fastest train of India ) which departs from Hazarat Nizamuddin station at 8:10 Am and Arrives Agra at 9:50 Am. There are plenty of other trains also available too but generally tourist prefer to go by Gatiman Express train (12049/12050)

The second Best Train to reach Taj mahal From New Delhi is Bhopal  Shatabdi Express (12002) which departs at 6 am and reach Agra at 8:am

Agra Airport :- The Agra city is a small town but it is famous in the world just because of Taj Mahal and this city also has a Airport but it is in the control of Indian Airforce however some of the domestic flights also lands here. Due to Security Reason the government is not making any international airport in Agra city. But if you are in Jaipur city or In in Vanaras so you can take flight for Agra. Only one flight land in Agra Airport is Air India which Comes Thrice in a week on alternate days.

The best Way to Reach Agra :- Car is the best way of reaching Agra from New delhi- Jaipur. The Road is extremely Good and you will not feel tiredness. That is why most of the tour operator offers Golden Triangle Tour which connects Delh- Agra- Jaipur. 

Other Stats of India :- If you are in other states of india and willing to reach Taj Mahal you will have to reach delhi for Airport if you opt flight and if you want to take Train then you can reach to Agra Cantt Station , for booking the train you please go to the link suggest above in the blog.

Bus :- The connectivity via local transport is also a great option but this blog i am specially writing for Foreigner travelers , i would like to tell you that the option for is very Cheap but the comfort level is very poor, the cleanliness level is very low.
